This actor was born James Raymond Simpson on the 21st of November 1975 in the New Jersey city, Hackettstown. His father was a businessman and he describes his mother as the sweetest woman he has ever known and his biggest supporter. He is the youngest of three children, all of whom are male.

Jimmi Simpson graduated high school from Hackettstown High School and his first foray into acting was an acting class he took in high school. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Bloomsburg University.
