The Life of Cory Monteith

The actor was born on May 11, 1982 in Canada Calgary (Alberta), Cory Allan Michael Monteith, Joe Monteith and Ann McGregor. While her father was in the military, her mother was an interior designer.

When he was only 7 years old, his parents went through a divorce and so his older brother, Shaun Monteith, was raised by their mother in British Columbia. Because his father was in the military, the actor saw him very little.

When he was 5, Monteith was considered a badass, but by the age of 13 he had already become a troubled kid who always skipped school, got drunk and smoked marijuana. Twelve different schools later – some of which were alternative programs for troubled teenagers – he decided to drop out of school altogether at the age of 16.

His problem got out of hand when he was 19 when his mother thought he was going to die. Along with a few friends, she took him to rehab, but it only lasted a short time before he went back to how he was.

As he continued to sink even further, Cory stole a large amount belonging to a family member who threatened him to clean himself up or be turned over to the police for the crime. It was after this that Monteith moved to Nanaimo, a small town in Canada, with a family friend.

He was able to quit using drugs and take on various jobs, including taxi driver, mechanic, school bus driver, and drummer in some bands.

In 2004, he had a small role in Stargate Atlantis then in 2005, he was in Young Blades, Supernatural, Smallville, Killer Instinct, as well as in the film, Killer Bash. It was in 2009 that he got a role in Glee as Finn Hudson. He played this role until his death in 2013. Although he had other roles, this was his most popular and won him numerous awards, including a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a set of a comedy series in 2009 and 2011 Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV: Comedy Actor.

His death – when and how did he die?

In March 2013, the actor voluntarily admitted himself to rehab after sinking into drug addiction. In a statement he released, Cory revealed he was taking all necessary steps to recover and asking for respect and confidentiality.

It was revealed that he was encouraged by the cast and crew of Glee who arranged it for him and because of this he was dropped from the last two episodes of the show’s fourth season with the assurance that When he returned, his job would still be waiting for him.

By April, he was done with Rehab and had already reunited with Lea Michele, who had become interested in Glee when she was also his show lover. It was thought that Lea was very influential in calming the actor down.

After a seven-night stay at the Fairmont, Monteith was scheduled to leave for the Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver, but after he missed it, a member of hotel staff entered the room where he found the actor already dead.. A statement was immediately released by the Vancouver Police Department, which rules out any foul play in the tragedy.

On July 15, the British Columbia Coroners Service performed an autopsy on the actor and revealed that the death was due to a mixed toxicity consisting of alcohol and heroin. More so, it was revealed that Cory Monteith’s death appeared to be accidental. At the time of his death, other substances like codeine and morphine were also found in his system.

The actor was cremated on July 17 in Vancouver after a private screening by his family and Lea Michele, who had several tattoos in his honor.
