Mackensie Alexander Organic
Mackensie Alexander was born in Naples, Florida on November 12, 1993, alongside an identical twin brother, Mackenro. His mother Marie and his father Jean Alexandre are both from Haiti. Growing up, her parents were farmers and the family barely survived.
Mackensie had attended high school at Immokalee High School located in Collier County, Florida. A tri-sport athlete, he practiced football, wrestling as well as track and field and excelled in all three sports. In high school in 2012, Mackensie Alexander was ranked as one of Florida’s top 15 wrestlers for his weight class. As a sprinter, he won the 400 meters at the Collier County Track and Field Championships, as well as the 200 meters at the Bear Run Invitational.
In football, Alexander compiled 42 tackles and 3 interceptions, a performance that helped the team earn a spot in Florida’s AAAAA title game in 2012. Alexander visited several schools between 2012 and early 2013. He ultimately pledged that Clemson University’s National Signing Day in 2013 would become one of the highest-ranked signers in the history of Clemson Tigers.
Mackensie Alexander redshirted his first season (2013) with the Tigers due to a groin injury sustained during preseason training. However, he lived up to expectations when he finally made his debut in 2014. The talented cornerback compiled 21 tackles including 2 lost tackles, 6 deflected passes with 1 fumble recovery in 766 which is the most number of strikes by a Clemson Tigers rookie. He also posted 37 quarterback sacks with 2 touchdowns. Mackensie Alexander also made history as the first cornerback in Tigers history to appear in all 13 games this season. The talented cornerback earned the Freshman All-American designation, as well as All-ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference) first-team honors.
In his second season (2015), Alexander had an even brighter season as he turned off every receiver he faced for his entire playing time for the season. He helped the team to a 14-1 record, earning them a spot in the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship Finals in Phoenix, Arizona. However, Alexander’s time in that all-important final was cut short due to a thigh injury suffered in the Championship semi-finals and the Tigers ultimately lost the game to the scoreboard.Alabama Scarlet Tide. At the end of the season, Mackensie Alexander was named a third-team Sophomore All-American and also earned first-team Conference honors. In January 2016, Alexander announced his decision to enter the 2016 NFL draft by forfeiting the remaining period of his college eligibility.
Mackenro Alexander is the identical twin of Vikings star cornerback Mackensie Alexander. Just like his famous brother, Mackenro Alexander is an athlete and also played college football. He spent the first two seasons of his college career with the Auburn University Auburn Tigers and the Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers.
He eventually transferred to Iowa State University where he spent his final two seasons of college football with the Iowa State Cyclones football team. Mackenro Alexander was not crushed in the 2017 NFL Draft. However, he was invited to the Minnesota Vikings rookie minicamp in May 2018.
