Jordan Reed bio

Jordan Reed was born and raised in New London, Connecticut by his parents; Karen Reed and David Lott. He is the younger brother of former Baltimore Ravens catcher David Reed who was on the team that won Super Bowl XLVII.

As a child, Reed and his older brother were inseparable. The two are said to have always played football together, even at school, where he played as quarterback and David as wide receiver at New London High School. Reed’s standout high school performance was in his junior year when he completed 122 of 222 passes for 1,706 yards and 38 touchdowns. He led his team to an undefeated regular season in that campaign and was a finalist the following year for the Joe Montana High School Quarterback of the Year Award.

After graduating, Reed accepted a scholarship offer to go to the University of Florida. With the Florida Gators, Reed, who was drafted as a quarterback, struggled to make the team in that position. He then moved into the tight end position where he enjoyed considerable success for two seasons before announcing he would be giving up his senior year to enter the draft. He finished his college career with 78 receptions for 938 yards and six touchdowns.

Jordan Reed was drafted by the WashingtonRedskins with the 85th overall pick in the third round. He announced himself to the league by becoming the first Redskins rookie to score a touchdown in the first two games of his career since Chris Cooley in 2004. Reed then recorded his first 100+ yard game on October 20, 2013 against the Chicago Bears. In that game, he further set a new Redskins franchise record for receiving yards by a tight rookie start and recorded nine career receptions for a career-high 134 yards and one touchdown. Reed’s season was later cut short after suffering a concussion. His pre-injury performance, however, earned him a spot on the Pro Football Weekly/Pro Football Writers of America rookie team.

In his second and third seasons, Reed continued to show growth as a player, establishing a number of career stats along the way to being named one of the NFL’s Top 100 Players in 2016, where he ranked 77th. At the start of the 2016 season, the Redskins rewarded Reed, who was still on his rookie contract, with a five-year, $50 million contract extension. It was business as usual for the tight end who went on to put in impressive performances that this time led him to rank 65th on the NFL’s Top 100 Players list of 2017. He also earned his first nomination at the Pro Bowl this season.

Who is Jordan Reed’s wife?

Jordan Reed has been on the most roller coaster of any roller coaster relationship ever with his wife Danielle Newsome. She is a former track and field athlete who was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska before moving to Florida where she earned a degree in neuroscience from the University of Florida.

The couple, who are known to be notoriously secretive about their relationship, as the wedding date is unknown, met in college. They were both athletic scholarships, which meant they usually hung out with each other because all the athletes had to train, eat in the cafeteria, and study together.

Newsome revealed that Reed was too shy to approach her but had told other people he was interested in her. They were eventually created by a mutual friend and became a couple. After a few years together, Reed and Newsome got a pit bull named Ace which they raised together. They later got engaged and had a daughter named Jada in 2014. After their daughter things turned sour for the couple as they reportedly broke up and ended their relationship although it is now said that they’re back together.
