Each industry is just as difficult to break into as any other. However, no matter how hard they work and how much they put in, even actors sometimes have to take a break. From the moves Daniel Ings has made in his professional career, it looks like he has no intention of calling a timeout any time soon.
The English actor took his big break from the big screen in 2010 and hasn’t rested on his oars since. It seems that he is always multitasking; working on multiple film projects at once.
He is known for his more recent works such as his participation in Lovesick, The Crown, and Instinct. His movies and TV series have aired on huge networks like BBC, CBS and Netflix.
Daniel Ings – Bio, Age
Although Daniel was born in 1985, it is not clear the exact date of his birth, but a few sources state that his birth month is November. The history of the Englishman is revealing; it seems he always wanted to be an actor. Daniel Ings underwent rigorous training to allow him to pursue his dreams of becoming an actor.
For his secondary education, Ings went to Dauntsey School located in Wiltshire. After his time there, he went on to study at Lancaster University in 2008, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Theater Arts.
Subsequently, the then budding actor studied at Bristol Old Vic Theater School and then at the National Youth Theatre. It was around this time that he started trying to make a career out of it. That was in 2004 and saw him appear in a number of plays such as his first production The Master and Margarita which was performed at the Lyric Theater in Hammersmith, London.
He continued to appear in theater productions even though his big screen time was well and truly underway. Some of his subsequent plays include White Boy (2007), Frankenstein (2011), and One Man, Two Guards (2012).
Daniel Ings’ television arc came in 2010 with his appearance on the television series Peep Show. He managed to cram three more movie projects into the same year: The Third This Week, Funny Money, and Audiobook. He also started playing recurring roles on Psychoville and Pete vs Life in 2010.
The following year, he was William Shaw ‘s The Last Temptation of William Shaw, and a Guardian in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tide. That same year, Ings also took on another recurring role on The Cafe, playing John Streatfield.
The following year was relatively less busy as he focused more on stage work. He did, however, manage to make an appearance on an episode of Little Crackers as Dan. In 2013, his career continued in the same unusual and slow way that he only appeared in two films, Macbeth and Doctors.
He picked up steam again in 2014. Daniel Ings made appearances in Uncle, Donne des filles, and Effort. He also had recurring roles as Robbie on Mount Pleasant, Matt Taverner on W1A, and Luke on Lovesick. He appeared in 8 episodes for each of the first two series while he scored over 20 episodes for Lovesick.
In 2018, the actor took part in more than 10 other projects, some of which helped solidify his pedigree and reputation within the industry. These include the Netflix series The Crown where he played Commander Mike Parker, and as Andy in the CBS series Instinct.
Is Daniel Ings married or gay?
In other words, Daniel Ings is as direct as possible. The rumor of his homosexuality stems from his involvement in the CBS television series, Instinct. In the series, he played the character Andy who is a gay man and husband to Alan Cumming’s character. Perhaps the rumor fires were fueled by the fact that Alan is a true bisexual and is married to a man.
Daniel may have portrayed the character excellently and received praise from many quarters, including the LGBT community, but he’s not gay.
Who is his wife, partner?
Daniel does not hide the fact that he loves and adores his family; he admitted it several times in interviews. However, the Englishman remains tight-lipped about the juicy details of his personal life.
He is married to a woman known as Georgia Gibbs. The couple dated for around a decade before getting married, although their exact wedding date is not known. The couple have two boys together.
Ings notably celebrated his wife’s 30th birthday – which also happens to be Valentine’s Day – by booking her an exquisite hotel room in London. He freed her up to go have some fun on her own while he cleaned up his schedule and stayed home to take care of the boys.
What is his size?
If he was an athlete, say a hoops player, he may have been described as diminutive. However, the actor is not at all short; it belongs to the medium size category. Daniel Ings is at a height of 5 ft 10 inches (1.78 m).
