1. He was born and raised in Georgia

American football defender Arden KeyHe was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Arden Key Sr. and his wife. It’s unclear if this is their only child, as Key hasn’t released much information about his other siblings and family. While he likes to keep these details out of the media, he is known to be of African American descent and his nationality is American.

2. Arden Key was a top 25 national high school rookie

Young Key developed a keen interest in playing football from an early age; he attended Hapeville Charter Career Academy located in Union City, Georgia. While there, he acted as a defensive end for the school team. In his junior year, he recorded eight sacks, 15.5 sacks as a senior, and 12 sacks in his sophomore year. At the end of his high school career, Key was rated four stars by ESPN and was ranked No. 6 on the National Top 25 Defensive Prospects in 2015. 3. He played college football at Louisiana State University (LSU)



After being scouted by many colleges, Arden Key enlisted at Louisiana State University and at the end of his high school career, he joined LSU. In his freshman year in 2015, he played for the Fighting Tigers, featuring twelve (12) games of which he started nine. He finished the season with 41 tackles and five sacks. thus earning a spot on the Freshman All-American team. The following year, Key saw significant improvement, finishing his sophomore year with a total of 12 sacks. He also received Southeastern Conference First-Team honors from the Associated Press and was named to the All-SEC First Team.

During his junior year in 2017, Key was identified as the number one overall prospect for the 2018 NFL Draft. and 33 tackles. In early 2018, Key officially announced that he would be joining the 2018 NFL Draft.

4. He was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Key was scheduled to debut in the 2018 draft, but his off-field issues affected him and he instead finished in the fourth round. He was selected by the Oakland Raiders as the 87th selection in the 2018 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-5 defensive star is expected to be in action for the Oakland Raiders; he will star alongside Ryan Switzer and Amari Cooper, among others. As a highly rated player, we all hope to see a new Arden Key stepping into superstar glory.

5. Despite being a third-round pick, Key is considered to have first-round talent

While Key was expected to be a first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft; his injuries dropped him from the list of proactive players. Nevertheless, he still has more time to bounce back in his game.
