The Cardinal running back was born David JeromeJohnson on December 16, 1991 in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. Her father’s name is not known but her mother is Regina Johnson. He was one of a set of triplets alongside his two sisters, Darnecia and Danielle, who were born into a family of six. Seeking a way to ease the burden of raising a handful of children for his single mother, David turned to organized sports, a path that would become their link to freedom. First it was dodgeball, tracks, and later football, a game that comes naturally to him and which he has proven over the years to be a king.

He attended Clinton High School in Clinton, Iowa where he shone in tracks, football as well as basketball. David set many records as a star athlete at his high school. Among his records are touchdowns in a season, career receptions, career receiving yards, career total offense and a season and game record for touchdowns. He was also selected as Outstanding Offensive Player for Clinton High in 2009 as a senior and was invited to play in the 2010 Shrine Bowl All-Star Game. Throughout his college career from 2010 to 2014, David Johnson maintained his excellent form even though he was dreaded in 2010 and was due to play his freshman season in 2011. After dating for a while, they got engaged in June 2015. They appeared in the TV documentary: All or Nothing: A Season with the Arizona Cardinals in 2016 before their nuptials. Finally, the day came when they exchanged vows making a lifelong commitment to each other.
