Krosney got her first recurring role on the small screen in 2009 on Surviving Suburbia where she played the role of Rhonda. In 2010, she got her first voice gig, voicing the animated character Sierra in Transformers: Prime (2010 – 2012). Then her role as Kristin Baxter, the eldest daughter of Tim Allen’s character, Mike Baxter, on the ABC comedy series Last Man Standing.

Amanda at the time was best known for her role as Dr. Alex Karev’s intern on Grey’s Anatomy. Angry fans couldn’t help venting their frustration at poor Fuller.

Here are some reactions on Facebook;

Steve Peterson: “I really hate Fuller in this role. The change was a big mistake. »

Gerard Jan Oldenbeuving: “Replacing her and her son was the biggest mistake ever! Fuller is totally unfunny, can’t act, his face says nothing. In addition, she (her role) has become a moralizer, a tattletale. »

Mike Aiken: “I don’t like Amanda Fuller at all. Almost stopped watching the show when she got a lesbo haircut and got fat. I like Alexandra Krosney better. »

Despite fans’ revolt, the producers kept Fuller, until the show’s cancellation in 2017. Some fans were able to adjust to the change, and the show successfully aired for another 5 seasons before its controversial cancellation in 2017.

TVLine exclusively reported that Krosney was replaced for “creative reasons”. They said that since Amanda Fuller was older, “it allowed the show to reorganize the family dynamic”.

In other news, the show’s cancellation has been seen as controversial sparking a campaign to boycott ABC by fans who speculate that ABC ended the series due to Tim Allen’s conservative political views (recall you when he dressed up as President Trump for Halloween in the fifth episode of season 6?).

Allen expressed his disappointment on Twitter, saying, “Gazed and blindsided by the network I’ve called home for the past six years. #Last man standing.”

Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment explaining why the show was axed, said it was for “programming reasons.” Defending his decision after fan claims he was punishing Allen, he said the reason was “the same business and programming reasons” other shows were canceled.

“A lot of those jobs are dealing with failures, and we’ve been making tough calls and canceling shows that we’d otherwise like to stay on the air. It’s work. Last Man Standing was a challenge for me because it was a regular performer on the charts, but once we made the decision not to continue with comedies on Fridays, that’s where we landed,” explained Dungey.
