Travis Kuualiialoha Browne was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 17, 1982. He spent most of his teenage life in San Diego, California where he attended high school at Dieguito Academy playing basketball. In the year 2000, he won the Coastal North League Player of the Year award. He continued his education at Palomar College where he continued to play basketball for two years before dropping out.
